My Writing

I write humorous middle grade escapades​, sometimes poetry and occasional picture books that often feature reptile enthusiasts, accidental mascots and cacti companions. To see examples of my work, check out the links below for some of my published work.

My Short Stories:

  • The Cost of Coupons - Second Place in the Arlington Public Library Short Story Contest, a story about a perfect mother who takes coupon clipping a bit too far.

  • This Message Will Self Destruct After Your Last Paycheck - Published in Abundant Grace Anthology by Paycock Press, a story about a spy who is laid off due to budget cuts. (Scroll to the bottom of the page for information about Abundant Grace.)

My Poetry:

  • The Musician's Suitor - As a Winner in the Moving Words Competition, this poem rode on buses in 2011 in northern Virginia.

  • Poem: Without a Destination - A poem published in Written in Arlington, Edited by Katherine E. Young, this anthology was included in a time capsule to be opened 2071.
